About
Claudine is free, online monthly literary magazine. Each issue presents two microfictions, two micro creative nonfictions, a micro by a new writer, and a prose chapbook review (or two). Just like Claudine the cat, the prose we publish is curious, clever, and quick. Always 400 words or fewer.
Our mission is to rekindle each reader's sense of humanness through original microprose and to highlight the breathtaking array of story and emotion captured in prose chapbooks produced by small, independent presses.
We value writers and their work, and are proud to offer a small stipend for all original work published as well as a sales platform for the chapbooks we review. We nominate for Best Microfictions, Best Small Fictions, Best of the Net, the Pushcart Prize, and the Monarch Queer Literary Awards.
Claudine the literary magazine is as particular as Claudine the cat, therefore we will not publish work we find offensive or exhibits hatred directed towards a particular gender, race, ethnicity, ability, sexual identity, socioeconomic class, etc.
Read more about Claudine in this interview with our EIC D.E. Hardy. Please email her at EIC@claudineliterary.com with any questions or comments.
